As nearly anyone can tell you, changing one’s diet is a hard task. However, would $2,500 make it more bearable? The company Vegan Liftz is paying meat eaters to go vegan for just a month! Read on to discover their plans and goals…
Plant-Based Diet Study
Why would blog website Vegan Liftz want to pay someone $2,500 to go vegan? Well, the company hopes that the results will not only debunk vegan myths, but also show the benefits of a plant-based diet over a meat-heavy one. “Our main aim at Vegan Liftz is to debunk any myths out there around veganism and help our community educate themselves on a plant-based lifestyle,” said the founder Jason Hughes. “Most of all, we want to prove veganism is NOT the enemy of a great physique.”
“As such, we are always looking to demonstrate the real-life effects being vegan has on a person’s health and fitness,” Hughes continued. “It’s important to us that the case studies we produce from our latest recruits are honest, relatable and informative, and both negatives and positives are reported on so people can make an informed decision on whether veganism is right for them, and how best to implement it.”
On the Vegan Liftz website, the company has plenty of evidence already posted for why you should choose a plant-based diet. However, they also did a little research into who eats the most meat! “The nationwide survey found that Mississippi is the top meat-eating state in the country, with over nine in ten (92%) respondents from the state confirming they eat meat daily,” Vegan Liftz said in a press release. After Mississippi, Iowa, Nebraska, Texas, Indiana, Montana, Tennessee, North Carolina, Washington, and Illinois round out the top ten states for meat consumption. As such, residents from other states might not make the cut. There are a few other requirements as well…
There are a few other requirements for anyone who wants to participate in Vegan Liftz’ study. First, one must be between the 18 and 60-years-old. Also, they need to have remained on a meat-heavy diet for the entire past year. Finally, participants can have no serious health problems like obesity, diabetes, or hyperthyroidism. If you fit the profile, Vegan Liftz plans to allow applications through the end of August 2020, so head on over to their website to enter!
What happens after the names are picked in September? Well, they’ll receive a personalized month-long diet plan with vegan recipes and participate in check-ups at the start and end of the month. Meanwhile, throughout the month, the candidates will also keep a food and personal journal, noting down changes not only to their physical well-being but emotional one as well. Of course, these notes will be included in the study.
Vegans around the world cannot wait to see how Vegan Liftz’ study turns out. If its anything like recent vegan documentaries like Netflix’ The Game Changers, it’s sure to go viral!
