What’s the best Christmas present you can think of? Well, Mick Jagger certainly went above and beyond this year. The Rolling Stones frontman purchased his girlfriend, ballet dancer Melanie Hamrick, a mansion in Florida!

This is the kind of Christmas present that’s a little hard to wrap and put under the tree: 77-year-old singer Mick Jagger decided to pick up a beautiful Florida mansion for his girlfriend, 33-year-old ballet dancer Melanie Hamrick. It will undoubtedly be quite a change of pace for the famous couple. Currently, they live in New York and London, raising their 4-year-old son Devereaux in both. Unlike the other homes, found in big cities, this new home in Sarasota will give Jagger and Hamrick the privacy they have desired for some time. Plus, the mansion sits very close to Hamrick’s family – how convenient!
Taking a closer look at the celebrity mansion, it includes four bedrooms and sits on a third of an acre-of-land. Not only that, but it also has not only great lakes of the local lake, but direct access. Of course, the home is located in a gated community, MSC’s Lakewood Ranch, with top-notch security. So don’t expect a peek inside the doors anytime soon. Outside of Hamrick’s Instagram!
Jagger picked up the beautiful home for $1,980,000 amid the pandemic, meaning virtual touring only and deals via Zoom. “It was very cool hearing Mick Jagger’s voice over the phone; that was neat,” Tina Ciaccio, the Lakewood Ranch listing agent, said. “But regardless, they really were a pleasure, a great couple to transact with.”
Only Time Will Tell
Jagger and Hamrick will have quite a few celebrity neighbors when they move into their brand-new Flordia home. Author Stephen King, television host Jerry Springer, and basketball sportscaster Dick Vitale all own homes either within Lakewood Ranch or less than ten minutes away.
What are the couple’s plans for the future? Well, their friends certainly don’t think Jagger and Hamrick will marry anytime soon, but someday. “His friends and bandmates aren’t buying wedding gifts just yet,” a source told MSN. ‘Time will tell. In the meantime, the two are happy playing house.”
Meanwhile, Hamrick recently opened up about how the pandemic brought her and Jagger even closer. “I stayed in Europe the whole time because it’s important for me and my son, for us to stay together as a family, especially with the uncertain times,” Hamrick said. When Jagger had his heart surgery done last year, his girlfriend cared for him the best she could, staying by his side at all times. The musician returned to the stage just a couple of months after the surgery.
“He has made a complete recovery, and is making his signature moves in private rehearsals,” the source said. “He tells insiders the Stones hope to tour in 2021, or when it’s safe to return to the stage.” We expect Florida will give Jagger quite the warm welcome when the Stones return!
